‍About the Job

Mako Power is seeking a Laborer to provide safe, competent, and high-quality assistance in the installation and maintenance of battery systems for our customers. This is an entry-level position focused on supporting field operations through physical labor, site preparation, and equipment handling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Travels to customer sites to assist in the installation, replacement, and maintenance of battery systems used in Telecom, UPS, and Switch-Gear applications.
Performs heavy lifting and manual labor tasks required for the staging and removal of industrial batteries.
Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintains and organizes tools, test equipment, and service vehicles.
Assists in keeping job sites clean and safe for the team and the customer.
Completes all necessary compliance and job-specific training.
Other physical and supportive duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Drug testing upon hiring and annually (may occur more frequently based on customer requirements).
Ability to handle overnight and extended stays when required.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Skills:

Basic mechanical aptitude.
Experience using hand and power tools.
A valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel; ability to work after-hours and weekends as needed.
Ability to learn basic technical skills, such as using a Digital Voltmeter.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a daily, continuous basis.
Must be able to lift 100 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to stand for long periods and frequently bend, twist, and reach.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in a manual labor or field support role.
Basic electrical understanding or familiarity with electrical test equipment.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to various environments, including outdoor weather, extreme heat/cold, and vibration.
Occasional risk of electrical shock and moderate to loud noise levels.
Note: This is an entry-level laborer position; however, candidates with advanced experience are also encouraged to apply.
